The recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) are designed to bring transparency and consistency to climate-related disclosures. Used in the right way, they go beyond disclosure, to provide a framework for effective climate action. We have worked with the TCFD recommendations since their inception, and have built a platform dedicated to surfacing best practices, to help companies navigate the framework as it matures over time.
In this white paper, we leverage our data and experience to illustrate common challenges and disclosure “gaps” we are seeing as companies align to the TCFD framework. We introduce the link between climate-aligned business practices and financial performance. And we outline five keys to success for all companies aligning with the TCFD.
